Clifford L. Dochterman, a past Ratary International president and university administrator, dies on 23 November 2021. He was 95
Dochterman, who was know for his lively sense of humor, ready smile, and positive outlook on life, served as RI president in 1992-93. An accomplished public speaker, he was recognized around the world as one of the premier spokesperson for Rotary.

Your Board of Directors met on Nov 16th via Zoom with the following is a brief of the discussions and actions taken.
Atnd: Terry, Bill B., Dave L., Jay, Marv, Dale, Duane, & Ward
Oct. BOD minutes - Members approved November BOD minutes, which are on our website in the Sites pages section. (PW required).
SRF Financials - reviewed by Marv. We are in good shape. Available funds are similar to last year at this time. (cash flow summary can be accessed on website [PW required]).
Dues - Duane reported the a little less the 50th of the membership has paid to date. He has sent out followup notices. They due no latter than Dec. 31st
Worthy Cause - Donations made to; Recue Mission, Finger Lakes Land Trust, MOST, and funding 50% of the Rotary ice sculpture at Winterfest 2022.
Membership - Accepted, with regrets, Alice Purdy's resignation as she is relocating south.
Community Service & Fund Raising Committees
Salvation Army Bell - volunteers are still being sought by John.
Holiday Basket Virtual Fundraiser - Currently in excess of $12,000. Discussed the split of the funds between the various food pantries, Meals on Wheels & Skan Outreach.
Annual Meeting - be be held January 20th, at which time 2022-23 Officers & Directors will be voted on.
A selection committee has formed to present a slate at the next BOD meeting on Jan 10th.

Membership/Attendance: 45 Active members -16 Members Attending Guests: Byron Lee The Beginnings: Past president Dave Lee led us in the Pledge of Allegiance & Dan Roche led us in singing, The Program: Christmas Party 2021— Twelve stalwart Rotarians gathered in the Inn for our club’s 2021 Christmas Party. As part of our Christmas Party festivities, Bill Conole distributed a list of Favorite Christmas Movies & Favorite Christmas Villains. The lists drew many, comments & jokes from the members. Bill presented background information on the classic Christmas movies & explained why Mr Potter (Lionel Barrymore) is his favorite Christmas villain. After this brief presentation members enjoyed a delicious steak accompanied by choice wines provided by Ed Evans. As desert was being passed the very talented Byron Lee in to sing Christmas songs. Byron is a gifted guitar player & singer. Byron opened with a Christmas song about Skaneateles that he wrote & composed. This was followed by a hauntingly beautiful rendition of “I’ll be Home for Christmas”. In keeping with our club’s Christmas tradition our 2021 Christmas Party closed with everyone singing “Silent Night.” A good time was had by all.

The dues are due by Dec 31 as we are billed by RI and District for our membership as of Jan 1st. If you missed the email, please contact Duane Weaver ..OR ..
