NOTICE - New Members Proposal
The SRC Board of Directors approved the membership application of John Buterbaugh via email ballot on Mar 16th.
John resides in Skaneateles and is self employed as a Data Steward. He has attended numerous past meetings & has experience abroad in Sri Lanka as a member of the Young Adult Service Corps as well as engagement with service-oriented individuals in the greater Asia-Pacific region. John is sponsored by his father, Bill Buterbaugh.
If there are no objections made in writing to the Club Secretary by April 1st, dues are paid and he has received Rotary information, John will be inducted into our membership at our meeting of April 18th.

The Beginnings: Bill Buterbaugh presided over the meeting and led us in the pledge. Guests were welcomed: John Buterbaugh & Dr. Michael Paciorek, Both are prospective members
Announcements:-
> Samaritan Center in Syracuse on Saturday, March 23. The Project runs for 12:3- to 3:00.
> Service Project: Books for the World packing at Waterman Elementary School ... Wednesday, 27th at 9:30am ... Contact Gary Oz at 315-406-2341
> Board Meeting on April 4th, 5:00 PM as the Sherwood.
The Program:Ward Vuillemot gave a very thorough and interesting slide presentation on the history and mission of Rotary domestic and international service project areas. He noted the goal of these projects is to build a better world and good will .A few of the service project areas of focus that Rotary Clubs around the world , including The Skaneateles Rotary Club , have been involved in include: environment; peace building and conflict resolution; disease prevention and treatment; water ,sanitation,and hygiene; maternal and child health ; basic education and literacy; community economic development ; and youth exchange . Ward spoke about some of his personal Rotary experiences and how much he valued his involvement in Rotary. A big thank you to Ward for all of his years of Rotary service !! The Ending: Mike Tierney led us in the (Four + one) Five Way Test.
Since it is a requirement for any club interested in applying for a grant to have at least TWO members in attendance at a seminar. There are more than one opportunity to attend. Save these dates and register if interested.

The first official CNY Rotary event is coming up soon! District Training Assembly will be Saturday, April 6th, from 10am-4pm at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School (VVS), where we will host a day of learning with something for every member.
