COUNTING DOWN OF PANCAKES & Tasks Schedule - Fathers Day Pancake Breakfast is but few weeks away. Fathers Day this year is June 18th, so please mark that date in ink on your calendar, as well as the Friday AM and Saturday AM before for set-up, and Monday AM afterwards for tear down. This year will mark our 49th consecutive year holding our Club's biggest fund raising event, and we need every Rotarian to participate to insure its continued success! Check our website "Site Pages" for additional information.
Greetings, Skantarians! Another meeting with new faces. Thank you, Chris Pateras for stepping up on short notice to give a classification talk and thank you Dan Flanick, for introducing yourself to the members - we hope to see you again. We all got to learn new things about great people. Next Thursday is our baseball outing at NBT Stadium with the DeWitt Club, so no meeting. Be well, hope to see you all at the game!
LAST WEEK: .... by Bill Conole
Pancake Breakfast - Mary, Breakfast Chair, briefly review the member assignment for our Fathers Day Breakfast. Ticket coordinator John Moran urged all of the members to sell at least one book of tickets for $160. Pre breakfast ticket sales are critical to meeting fixed expenses & to ensuring the breakfast’s success.
Chief’s Ballgame - President Bill reminded everyone that next week, June ist, we are going to a Syracuse Chief’s Game instead of meeting in the Sherwood.
Classificaton Talk - Chris Peteras presented his “classification talk”. Chris grew up in nearby Fairmount & went to West Genesee High School. After graduating from Alfred University Chris started what he thought would be a career as a ceramic engineer. Shortly after starting his first job, Craig learned that he had been accepted in dental school. So his career in ceramics only lasted four months. Chris’s dental office is in Liverpool, but he & his wife live in Skaneateles. Chris’s three daughters are engineers. Chris, his wife & his daughters are avid skiers. Chris joined Rotary because he wants to serve our community through Rotary. Chris appreciates how open & welcoming our club is.
Guest Introduction - President Bill asked our dinner guest Dan Flanich to introduce him self. Dan explained that he is a Chiropractor & that he just opened an office on Fennel Street . Dan went to Ithaca College & initially worked as a strength & conditioning coach for Cornell & Baylor Universities. Dan returned to CNY to attend Chiropractic School. Dan looks forward to caring for patients in the Skaneateles area.
