 SERVICE PROJECTS Recap Although it's been a while since we've met a lot of good things have been going on within the club over the last few weeks. "Service above self " is happening! > Youth Exchange - Our Youth Exchange Committee has been busy working with the high school to recruit and interview potential youth exchange students for the 2024-2025 year. > Dictionary Project - Craig and Doug passed out 95 dictionaries. See article above. > Holiday Basket Dinner - Our annual dinner to benefit the local food pantries and Skaneateles Outreach is scheduled for December 7th at the Skaneateles Country Club. The event committee met to begin the planning process and we will keep you posted. Thanks to Marv for chairing the planning committee. >Salvation Army Bell Ringing - John M and Rosemary are organizing the annual bell ringing at Tops beginning on Dec 8th. Be sure to sign up! |

Last Tuesday, the 15th, SRC President Doug and Project Leader, Craig, distributed 95 Dictionary/Thesaurus books to 95 third graders at the State Street School. They were assisted by Principal John Lawrence. Each book is individualized with the child's name and is accompanied with a letter to the parents with a brief description of the Skaneateles Rotary Club's services to the community. This project has been a long standing community service since 2010 and remains a vary popular event with the children.
