LAST WEEK:... by Bill Conole
Our Annual Holiday Season Party was held last Thursday in the beautifully decorated main dinning room of the Sherwood Inn. President Bill Blessing welcomed the more than sixty Rotarians, their spouses & guests. Bill asked Robin Jowaisas to update the club on our 2015 Annual Christmas Fundraiser. Robin was elated to report that this year's dinner raised a record $12,000+. Robin reminded everybody that this money was promptly contributed to area food pantries & charities. President Bill thanked Amy Tormey an her small committee for so skillfully organizing our Holiday Party this year. President Bill also thanked Karen Price for arranging to have three , highly talented, students, Aubrey Lynn, Emily Norris, & Jillian Van Leer, provide lovely holiday music for our party. After a delicious Sherwood Inn dinner, the room joined Amy Tormey, Roberta Williams & our student minstrels by singing several tradition holiday songs. An Elvis impersonator serenaded everyone with Elvis's famous "Blue Christmas". Our festive evening closed when everyone sang "Silent Night"
