LAST WEEK: ... by Bill Conole
PE Bill Huba Welcomed back --President Bill Blessing welcomed Bill Huba back, and thanked him for his duties in the Middle-East,  presented him with his President Elect Pin.
RYLA Review - Two of this year's, Skaneateles sponsored, RYLA students; Mariah McCarron & Matthew Burgher opened their presentations by thanking the Skaneateles Rotary clubs for giving them the opportunity to participate in this year’s Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp at Cazenovia College. Without the aid of A/V both participants excitedly and vividly told our club about the leadership and teambuilding activities they participated in this past June at RYLA Camp. These activities taught Matt & Mariah to think outside the box & to appreciate the talents of other team members. Most of all Mariah & Matt were thankful for the new friends they met in RYLA Camp.
Our Guests - John Paddock of the Skaneateles SR Club, and  Matthew Burgher & Mariah McCarron, RLYA Students.
Our 50/50 Winner - Bill Blessing, who turned his winning back to the club.
Empowering Young Leaders through RYLA
All around the world, Rotary clubs and districts are bringing promising young people together for life-changing leadership training through Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), developing innovative ways to engage young people based on their community’s unique needs. In Colorado, USA, teens with physical disabilities learn to overcome challenges to become leaders in their schools and communities. Students in India are introduced to sustainable farming techniques by local agriculture experts. Rotaractors in Nigeria partner with Rotarians to discuss the importance of social responsibility and mentorship. But this leadership journey doesn’t have to end with RYLA: Invite young leaders to stay connected with Rotary through Interact, Rotaract, and Rotary Youth Exchange.  .... from RI "Take Action"

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
"Try to make at least one person happy every day.  If you cannot do a kind deed, speak a kind word.  If you cannot speak a kind word, think a kind through.  Count up, if you can, the treasure of happiness that you would dispense is a week, in a a year, in a lifetime.” ...
