Scout Troop 61: Dave Lee introduced Troop 61 Leaders and Scouts. Our club has been the charter organization for the Troop for many years (even when Dave was a Scout). Lillian, Mia, Russell and Andrew took turns telling us about their activities which include participating in the Village Memorial Day Parade, enjoying the outdoors at many campouts, helping at our pancake breakfast, holding a Mother's Day Spaghetti Dinner, selling flares, running a food drive, and much more. The Troop is looking forward to summer camp in Rhode Island. This is certainly an impressive group of Scouts!
The meeting ended with Ed leading us in the Four (Five) Way Test.
February Service Project. ... by Jay
Sleep in Heavenly Peace - bed assembly
On Saturday, February 10th, our club will be helping Sleep in Heavenly Peace assemble beds at the Finger Lakes Mall in Auburn (inside by the Savanah Bank entrance). There is a short registration before we can start helping so the organization is asking we arrive between 9:30 and 10 am on the 10th. The project runs until the early afternoon but if people can only come for part of the day that is fine.
There is nothing you are required to bring with you but we will be assembling beds so if you want work gloves or anything like that I would recommend you bring them just in case.
Please RSVP with Jay Stith(EMAIL) or call/text 315-209-0753) and registerBY CLIICKING HERE in advance if you plan on helping:
