Can you imagine $900 million dollars, 900 million candy bars, 900 million diamond rings, 900 million people? We all have difficulty in imaging this number, but for the 900 million people who live with chronic hunger, it is not something they try to imagine, but something they must try to survive.
Malnutrition is the largest single contributor to disease; it imposes crushing economic burdens on the developing world. Freedom from hunger and malnutrition is a basic human right, and The Rotary Foundation is working to alleviate hunger and malnutrition.
Many of the global grants that the Foundation funds are for projects working towards the end of hunger. Every day, Rotarians take action to end the tragedy of world hunger. Your contribution to The Rotary Foundation enables this to happen.
SAVE THE DATE - While the annual Fathers Day Pancake Breakfast is still a long ways away, it is time to save the date in our calendars. Fathers Day this year is June 21 so please note that date in your calendar as well as the Friday AM and Saturday AM before for set-up and the Monday AM afterwards for tear down. This is our biggest fund raising event of the year and we need every Rotarian to participate to insure it’s success. ... Robin
