SSD Technologies - Dr. Paul Blair opened his presentation on “Technology Advancements in the Skaneateles School District” by thanking our club for contributing to the school’s “Zoom Room”. This room is equipped with state of the art computers that our students have skillfully used to facilitate their learning & educational endeavors. The “Zoom Room” was expensive & time consuming to set up, but based on the impressive results our students have attained, the Zoom Room has proven to be a great investment. Our students continue to find creative ways to enhance their high school learning experience. Dr Blair explained that today over 1,000 Skaneateles students have some form of computer they use on a personal basis. A near term goal is to better harness today’s technology to further improve the learning process. Dr Blair cited just a few of the many awards our students have received recently for their “Zoom Room” educational technology projects. Dr Blair closed by noting that thanks to the support of Rotary & many other groups our Skaneateles students are well ahead of their CNY counterparts in utilizing technology to further their educational efforts.
