Holiday Basket 2023 a Great Success!!!
Club members and guests enjoyed a festive dinner at the Skaneateles Country Club on December 8th.  After the cocktail hour during which guests placed generous bids on the silent auction items, President Ed welcomed dinner guests and introduced Pastor Michael Hill from the Skaneateles Presbyterian Church who led us in an invocation.  A delicious meal followed.  Bill B took the podium with Ayhem to talk about the purpose of our gathering.....helping our fellow community members through donations to the Skaneateles and Spafford Food Pantries and Skaneateles Outreach.  Michele Keller, President of the Skaneateles Food Pantry Board, spoke about the many families in need this year and how the food pantries and outreach are filling those needs not just during the holidays but throughout the year.  Guests were asked to make a donation, silent auction winners were announced, and everyone joined together in singing "Silent Night", a fitting ending to the evening.
Donations from the evening far exceeded previous years and the silent auction was a great success thanks to many generous businesess who donated items to the auction.  Thanks go out to the following who organized the evening and the silent auction:  Ed E, Ayham, Bill B, Stacy and Dale Drake, Rosemary, Jay and last but not least Marv.  And, a big "thank you" to club members that hosted tables.
ZOOM..ZOOM....ZOOM!!!

Dave Lee has graciously volunteered to set up equipment so that winter club meetings can be attended by our snowbird members.  Meeting format will continue to be dinner first and then the speaker at about 7:15.  Club members who would like to attend by Zoom must RSVP to Dave Lee by the Monday evening just prior to the meeting.  Zoom will only be set up if RSVPs have been received.  Dave's contact info is:  Dave@dleeco.com or 315-345-8418.  The Zoom link for the meeting will always be: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89163463617?pwd=aEYvVTZ6ZXlCcG1vNklyeUxMR1NFdz09.
