Minutes: Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Financials: Dillon reported on Club financials. Dues invoices have been sent out and there are currently 17 members still owing. The 990N filing to the IRS has been done. Jay reported on the Skabeateles Foundation financials which are in good shape. We are awaiting the Duck Dash proceeds from the Chamber.
Worthy Causes: The following expenditures were approved:
Funds to sponsor a student for Empire Girl’s State through the American Legion Auxiliary.
Finger Lakes Land Trust
Honor Flight
Sarah’s Guest House
CNY Land Trust
Youth Exchange Update: Jay reported that there are two outgoing candidates who were approved by the district for the upcoming exchange year.
Paul Harris Discussion: Andy brought up the fact that new members do not know what the Paul Harris Fellow awards are and it was agreed that a short presentation will be done at a future meeting. It was also agreed that Corey Bauman’s Queen’s Pot proceeds which she donated back to the club will be donated to the Rotary Foundation in her name. The was discussion on how to incentivize members to donate to the Rotary Foundation.
The Rev Theater proposal: Bill B’s and Roberta’s proposal for the club to partially sponsor The Rev Theatre’s Educator’s event was discussed. Total sponsorship is $7500. If Bill and Roberta can obtain partial sponsorships from other clubs our club will donate funds toward the event.
New Service Project Proposal: Andy presented a suggestion from Amy Ryan to have some sort of drive for the Auburn High School. Evie agreed to work with Amy on this, the first step being contact with the Auburn School.
Resignation: The board approved the resignation of John Moran with regrets and thanks for all of his service through the years.
