PRESIDENTS' CORNER ... by Pres., Mary Giroux
No meeting this past Thursday due to the nasty weather.  I hope everyone stayed safe and warm The storm gave us an opportunity to hunker down with a good book, binge on Netflix, try a new comfort food recipe or just be plain lazy.  Happy  New Year and hope to see you this Thursday!
EDUARDA IS ON THE MOVE - YE Student Eduarda, from Brazil,  is now living with his second host family, the family of Nancy Cannucciari.
LAST WEEK: .... by Bill Conole
THE MEETING WAS CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
On Thursday afternoon January 4t, 2018 a winter blizzard struck Skaneateles with sever force. By 4:00PM it was clear that the blizzard, instead of abating, was becoming more ferocious. Reluctantly, for the first time in recent memory we were forced to cancel our Rotary Club meeting. It turned out to be a wise decision. By early evening the wind chill temperatures were 25-30 below 0. The below zero temperatures, combined with the 8-10 inches of new snow made driving perilous.
So next week the ever-hardy members of our club will regroup in the Inn to listen to an interesting program presented by our friend from the Skaneateles Sunrise Club John Gilly.
See you next week when fair weather again returns to Skaneateles.
50/50 - Was won by the Frosty The Snow Man.
