NOTICE of NOTE - Skaneateles WinterFest Saturday, January 30th.  Don't miss the fun!
The 2016-17 Rotary theme is here!
President-elect John Germ announced that this year’s Rotary theme is “Rotary Serving Humanity.
"Now is the time to capitalize on our success — as we complete the eradication of polio, and catapult Rotary forward to be an even greater force for good in the world,” said Germ.
In celebrating this year’s theme, we also pause to reflect on the progress Rotary made last year — when each Rotarian was encouraged to "Be A Gift to the World." Rotary clubs across the nation gave their time and talents to worthy causes — whether it was donating dictionaries to local schools, collecting resources for area food banks during the holidays, or raising money to support efforts to eradicate polio. ....
Four Skantarians at District Seminar ... by Ward
Saturday, Jan. 23rd, four of our members attended the District Membership & Grant seminars at the Baldwinsville Library.  Membership building & retention ideas and materials were presented by PDG Deb Glisson, followed by RF District Grant overview and "how to apply for" session was held by Mark Matt, D7150 Grants Chair.  Both sessions were excellent and participant's investment of their time was well served. The event was attended by approximately 100 Rotarians from across our district.  Members of our club present were:  Cathy Powell, Grants Chair; Jim McQuiggan, Grants Comm. Mbr.; Bill Conole; and Ward Vuillemot.
Polar Bear Plunge -  A reminder to bring donations to Thursday meeting if they would like to give to: Skaneateles Fire Dept., SAVES and Skaneateles Education Foundation while supporting our Interact club's fund raising efforts at the same time.  Checks made out to: Skaneateles Polar Bear Club.  All donations will be split between the 3 services. ... by Kayo
