We did not make our goal of selling 200 tickets, but have enough to cover prize money and make $1500 to use toward worthy causes. Not bad for our first time at it! And maybe once we start drawing the winners, more people will want to get in on the action.

WELCOMING PETER ADAMS BACK
Peter Adams was reinstated back into our membership last week, between the 4th and 5th inning of the ball game, per the July BOD resolution. Peter took a a few months off, while organizing his duties and schedules as the newly elected Sennett Town Supervisor. We welcome Peter back into our world of Service Above Self.

Program - Thirty Five Rotarians, their spouse & friends enjoyed a late summer baseball game in Auburn's beautiful Falcon Park. In an exciting , well played game Auburn fell to the Tri-City Cats 4-3. Down by two runs entering the final inning, Auburn brought one home run with two outs but couldn't scratch across the equalizer. The game ended on a very close play at first where a Doubledays batter appeared to beat out a ground ball to extend the game. Even though our home team's 9th inning rally fell short, a good time was had by all. Watching our "national past time is very relaxing . at the games end everyone agreed that our club should make have a "club meeting" every year in Falcon Stadium with hot dogs & beer & baseball.
As an extra treat, our two STEP YE students; Amelia Huba, of Skaneateles and Alexandra Menses, of Koeflach, Austria attended and exchanged banners along with President, Bill Huba (pictured L-R: Bill, Alex & Amelia)

We still has some openings for volunteers to work the Clams & Corn concession at the Fireman's Days. The fireman support our Pancake Breakfast event with parking assistance and a sound system, this year. Time to give them a helping hand. Jack has the signup sheet and is looking for Rotarians to volunteer for one hour shifts.
