All hands-on for Saturday the 3rd. > Scout Troop 61 Spaghetti Dinner - 5:00- 7:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church. [see flyer below] > SRC Preakness Party - Thursday, May 16th Spring Celebration- The Preakness Party , RSVP no later than May 13 at email : eae3272@aol.com or 425-503-9044. [see notice below for details] > The Preakness Party will be held on May 16th. It's our third annual celebration of Spring. [see details below] The Program:  > Dana Coye’s 100th Birthday - was celebrated at the Sherwood Inn with family and fellow Rotarians & Guest . Dana has been a Rotarian for 62 years and served as President of the Skaneateles Rotary Club in 1973. Jack Hyatt MC'd the event and along with Lee Bennett & Bill Buterbaugh, spoke about Dana’s life in the Skaneateles community and his work in Rotary. Dana is a World II veteran and was a Sergeant in the United States Army in the Pacific theater of war. He is definitely a member of the Greatest Generation. It was an evening filled with special memories and good cheer! In attendance were many plus Dana's family: Wife Dotie, Jim and Judy Coye, and John and Connie Bouck CLICK HERE to view the many pictures located on the club's website photo albums, of Dana's Rotary activities over the years, which were shown at the celebration, as well as many were taken at the event and submitted by members. > Pancake Breakfast Tickets - John Moran distributed tickets to members and urged pre-event sales to cover the breakfast fixed cost. The Ending: Ed & Bill B. led us in the (Four + one) Five Way Test. |
Scout Troop 61 has been sponsored by the Skaneateles Rotary Club since the Troops's inception.
Be sure to mark your calendar for our special Spring celebration commencing at 6:00 on Thursday, May 16th at The Sherwood. The Preakness Party will feature foods from the Baltimore and Chesapeake Bay Area as well as special complimentary cocktails. The program will celebrate new club members, new Paul Harris achievements, exchange students and club service projects. The cost is $40 per person and guests are welcome! Let Ed know by May 13th if you plan on attending
