The August 25th meeting will be at Falcon Park, Auburn. Doubledays vs Tri-City ValleyCats. Game starts at 7:00 PM. Plan on a fun evening with fellow Rotarians, family and friends. Advance tickets are $8, which include $5 concession stand coupon.
Advanced Tickets - If you signed up for Advanced Tickets, either Bill C. or Cheryl will be standing near the box office (look for the Rotary Hat, with your tickets from 6 PM to 6:45 PM
Non Advanced Tickets - If you did not sign up for the advanced tickets, come anyway, as it is "cheap ticket" night with bargain prices on seating, drink and snacks. You will find us in the Left Field bleachers (look for the Rotary hats). Bring your friends, family and maybe even potential Rotary members. Wear your Rotary shirts and hats for a group picture.
REMINDER - There will be no regular meeting at the Sherwood this week. See ye at the Ball Game.

A heartfelt thank you to those Skantarians who were able to pitch in Sunday at the Baltimore Woods 50th Anniversary 5K! The weather was a bit sketchy but the event was a success, with over 100 participants. Our participation was noted and appreciated by the staff. See you at the ballpark this Thursday and please remember to wear your Rotary shirt or hat.

200 CLUB DRAWING IS DRAWING NEAR ... by Cheryl
Having only 50 ticket left is so close to our goal. Those members that have told tickets are encourage to call me to set some. We're so close!!! Also, those members who have sold tickets need to have their money and tickets stubs to me prior to the start of September 1st's meeting.
Here’s how it works: we sell 200 tickets at $20 each totaling $4,000. We give away $1500 in prizes which leaves us with $2500 to use for worthy causes. We will sell tickets throughout July and August. Two $50 prizes will be drawn at our Club Meetings on 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, and 9/29. On 10/6, we will draw a $250 winner, as well as the $750 Grand Prize winner. Also, all weekly winners will be put back into the raffle and be eligible for the Grand Prize!

Fireman's Days -- Jack Hyatt reviewed the need for volunteers to work the Lobster & Corn concession at the Fireman's Days. The fireman support our Pancake Breakfast event with parking assistance and a sound system, this year. Time to give them a helping hand. Jack has the signup sheet and is looking for Rotarians to volunteer for one hour shifts. Jack's phone number is: 247-8887
Picnic - Annual Pancake Breakfast Thank you & Incoming Youth Exchange Welcome Picnic will be held on September 15th in the St James Fellowship Hall. Lee Bennett is coordinating his event. A sign up sheet for the picnic was circulated. (see more below)
200 Club - Cheryl announced that has a number tickets left for our members to purchase or sell. Cheryl plans to start drawing tickets on September 1st. (see more below)
Legion Garage Sale - Members are asked to bring any items they have to the Legion for their large garage sale. Proceeds from tis sale will be sued to refurbish the Legion building.
Doubledays Baseball Night---Our August 25th meeting will be in Falcon Park, Auburn. Bill Conole is coordinating this event. A sign up sheet for the game was circulated.
Program - The Reverend Dr. Becky Coerper, Director of St. James, spoke to our Club. She talked about her education and her family. Rev Becky updated us on some of the renovations that have taken place, notably the replacement of the roof which was over 140 years old! St. James has 630 members and part of their mission is to give back to the community. Their members volunteer at a soup kitchen in Auburn; they provide support to refugees in Syracuse; and, they run the thrift shop in Skaneateles. They are also focusing on affordable housing, mental health, and supporting youth.
