BOOKLEGGERS FINISHED THE JOB -  Our thanks go out to Rotarian; Chuck O., Skip, Roy, David P., John M., Bill C. and Ward for joining with CNY BFTW Bookeggers of the Auburn & Tully clubs to sort and pack more than four pallets (105+) cartons of Primary and Secondary books from the Jordan-Elbridge HS over the past few weeks.  These four pallets completed a semi-truck load which departs for Texas, this week, on the first leg of their journey to the children of the world. Two of the four pallets were funded by other clubs, and two currently are unfunded.  So ... if you would like to adopt a pallet for $225, or a partial pallet, with a tax-deductable donation, contact Ward Vuillemot at: wardtv37@mac.com  to make the arrangements.  A great Christmas gift to the children of our world. ... by Ward Vuillemot

LAST WEEK:  ... by Bill Conole
The Skaneateles Rotary Club’s Annual Christmas Fundraiser was held on Thursday December 3, 2015 in the beautiful Skaneateles Country Club. This year more than 230 Rotarians, their spouses & guests filled the club’s main ballroom to capacity. Club President Bill Blessing welcomed everyone & asked Rev Craig Lindsay  to offer a holiday invocation. After a delicious full course Turkey dinner Master of Ceremonies Robin Jowaisas reminded everybody that all of the money raised in our Christmas Fundraiser is contributed to area food pantries & charities to brighten the Holiday Season for local people in need. Robin expressed our club’s appreciation to the many Skaneateles businesses who so generously supported our Christmas Fundraiser with gifts for our raffle. Even with a record crowd more than two thirds of the attendees received raffle gifts. Robin thanked our Cathy Crelot, Roy Mac Donald, John Moran, Amy Tormey, Guido van der Ven & the many other dinner committee members & club members who worked so hard to make our 2015 Dinner such a success. Robin saluted our dinner committee chair Jack Hyatt for his many years of steady leadership as our committee chair. The evening closed with the traditional singing of Silent Night.
It was a RESOUNDING  SUCCESS  ... Nearly $12,000 was raised for immediate distribution to our local Food Pantries and the Skaneateles  Community Christmas Basket charity.  The funds are used to create a special Christmas Holiday for those in our community that would otherwise go without.  Way to go, TEAM!
Thanks to our Merchants - Many thanks go out to the many merchants and business that contributed the many raffle prizes that sent most of guest home with something special ro remind them of the good time that had while serving our community.

Our 50/50 Winner - Placed on hold for a week or two.  5 cards left in the bottomless deck!
Active Members - 60
Percent attendance - last week - 73%
