Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people

Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people ages 14-18. The program gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.

Through service activities, Interactors learn the importance of:

  •     Developing leadership skills and personal integrity;
  •     Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others; and
  •     Advancing international understanding and goodwill.

Each year, Interact clubs complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and  goodwill.

Through projects, Interactors develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs. And, in the process, Interactors develop leadership skills and learn the value of hard work.As one of the most significant and fastest-growing programs of Rotary service, with more than 10,700 clubs in 109 countries and geographical areas, Interact has become a worldwide phenomenon.

The Interact club in Skaneateles High School was chartered in 1992. The current SCS coordinator is Rotarian Karen Price and the Skaneateles Rotary Club contact is Rotarians Lori Ruhlman .   If you are interested in joining, or assisting in the Interact program, please contact one of the two individuals listed above.  You can email them by clicking on their names.
